THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us. To Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.(EPHESIANS 3:20-21 ASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways." declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (EPHESIANS 5:18 - 20 NIV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
It's Monday. Are you feeling unloved or unhappy? If so, remember this: "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." (JOHN 3:16 ASV) Now THAT'S love!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Are you going through something right now and worried about what the future holds for you? Well the Bible has some great advice about worry for tomorrow! It says: "Therefore, do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (MATTHEW 6:34 ASV) Take care of today's worries TODAY!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Who among the gods is like you, O Lord? Who is like you-majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders? In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. (EXODUS 15:11, 13 NIV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. (PSALM 55:22 ASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If you're feeling overwhelmed by life, take this advice: "Come to Me all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest." (MATTHEW 11:28 ASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 3, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Are there times that you feel like temptations and trials in life are too much to handle? Keep this thought from the Bible in mind! "No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it." (1 CORINTHIANS 10:13 ASV). He always gives us a way out!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Are the daily trials and anxieties of life wearing you out? The Lord says: "Come to me all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest." (MATTHEW 11:28 ASV) Let Him know when you need a break and He'll see that you get it.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. (PSALM 62:8 ASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! (Philippians 4:4 ASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. (Colossians 3:2 ASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
As each one has received a spiritual gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. (1 Peter 4:10 ASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Feel like you have no purpose? God knows your purpsoe. Check this out! "My frame was not hidden from Thee. When I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth. Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Thy book they were all written, The days that were ordained for me, when as yet there waas not one of them." (PSALMS 139:15 - 16 ASV) God knew what he was going to do with you before your parents ever knew you would be theirs!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Do trials of your faith make you question your faith? Check this passage out from the book of James! "Consider it all joy, my bretheren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." (JAMES 1:2 - 4 ASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 11, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Life here on earth is a blink of an eye compared to eternity! The Bible says this about life here on earth: "If you call God your Father, live your time as temporary residents on earth." (1 PETER 1:17 GWT)
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 12, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ jesus. (PHILIPPIANS 4: 6 - 7 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 13, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Are burdens in life just too heavy for you to bear some days? "Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken." (PSALM 55:22 NASV) I have done this and trust me, He can and will handle anything you need help with!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
This morning as I woke, I heard a horrible report! Since the release of the Apple video iPod over 10,000,000 pornographic videos have been downloaded to it! Consider what the Bible says about immorality and impurity: "For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God." (EPHESIANS 5:5 NASV) Just a thought....
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 15, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Don't live for earthly rewards! Here's what the Word says about what to live for: "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporaral (temporary), but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 CORINTHIANS 4:18 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 16, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
As "Powerball fever" grips the country, don't forget what Jesus said about greed and possessions! "Beware and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions"....."For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also" (LUKE 12:15 & 34 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 17, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
As the news is hyping the "great powerball jackpot" and visions of piles of cash crowd people's heads remember what the Bible says about earthly wealth and treasures: "Do not weary yourself to gain wealth. Cease from your consideration of it. When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings. Like an eagle that flies toward the heavens." (PROVERBS 23: 4 - 5 NASV) Simply translated: Wealth is here today, gone tomorrow. Focus on the Lord who is here today AND here tomorrow!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (JAMES 1:12 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 19, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If you are TEMPTED, remember the LORD doesn't tempt! The book of James tells us: Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. (JAMES 1:13 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 20, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Recently, I was at the Post Office and saw a terrible scene. A person was backing out of a parking space and a lady came whipping through the lot and came to a stop behind the woman backing out. Since the woman just wasn't moving fast enough for this lady, the lady honked her horn made many hand jestures and then raced around the woman who was backing out endangering people. She was headed to drop a letter in the box! When you're tempted to act like this pray for patience! The book of James gives us something to remember in times like these: "You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. (JAMES 5:8 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 21, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
The next time you go to say something nasty or dash off an angry email, consider what the book of James says about the mouth (or in today's case the "electronic mouth", the keyboard): "With it we bless our Lord and Father; and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God; From the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be this way." (JAMES 3: 9 - 10)
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 22, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
When living by the Commandments, remember to obey them ALL. The book of James reminds us: "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all." (JAMES 2:10 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 23, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
The next time you are competing for the high position in your job, the world or your church life, remember this from the book of James: "Humble youselves in the presence of the Lord and He will exalt you." (JAMES 4:10 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 24, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (JAMES 4:7 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 25, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Another piece of great advice on how to live from the book of James! "This you know, my beloved brethren. But let every one be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger." (JAMES 1:19 NASV) Imagine the world if we were all like that!
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 26, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Why should we obey our Heavenly Father? Because Jesus did! The book of John gives us a statement by Jesus to his Father: "I glorified Thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which Thou hast given Me to do." (JOHN 17:4 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible February 27, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
As Christians, we can't just go to church and say we believe in God. The book of James tells us: "Even so faith, if it has no works, it is dead, being by itself." (JAMES 2:17 NASV). Simply put, faith without works (good deeds, etc..) is worthless, just as works without faith. We need to believe and live like we believe.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Too many people in todays' world are trying to be the "big shot" or to have everything everyone else has...and not just material things either. Here are two translations of the same verse that are a good guide on how to live. "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time." (1 Peter 5:6 NASV) "Be content with who you are, and don't put on airs. God's strong hand is on you; He'll promote you at the right time." (1 Peter 5:6 THE MESSAGE)
| Taken from the Holy Bible March 1, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
So many people in todays' world think that once they have forgiven someone ONCE that their obligation is over. Not so! When Peter asked how many times he should forgive someone Jesus laid it out: "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven." (MATTHEW 18:22 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible March 2, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
When you do good or give something to someone (the word for this in the Bible is "alms"), don't brag about it! Let that stay between you and God. Jesus addresses this in the Sermon on the Mount: "When therefore you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be honored by man. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing." (Matthew 6: 2 - 3)
| Taken from the Holy Bible March 3, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
While the Ten Commandments address Murder (Though shall not kill), Jesus addressed just being angry or unhappy with others in the Sermon on the Mount. "But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever shall say to his brother, 'Raca'(possibly meaning: fool, emptyheaded or stupid) shall be guilty before the supreme court, and whoever shall say 'You fool' shall be guilty enough to go into the hell of fire." (MATTHEW 5:22) Jesus took anger toward others VERY seriously. So should we.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
I will thank the Lord at all times. My mouth will always praise him. (PSALM 34:1 GWT)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If you're angry with someone, check out what Jesus had to say in the Sermon on the Mount: "If therefore you are presenting your offering at the alter, and then reemember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the alter, and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother and then come and present your offering." (MATTHEW 5:23 - 24 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
A little more on forgiveness from the Sermon on the Mount..."For if you forgive men for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions." (MATTHEW 6:14 - 15 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible March 7, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Think about where your treasures and rewards are! In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus said: "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal." (MATTHEW 6:19 - 20 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
The next time you go to make a judgement call about someone...whether it be as simple as their clothes all the way up to the way they live, remember what Jesus said about judging others in the Sermon on the Mount: "Do not judge lest you be judged yourselves. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it shall be measured to you." (MATTHEW 7: 1 - 2 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible March 9, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
When you pray, pray with FAITH! Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Ask and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened." (MATTHEW 7:7 - 8 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how will it be made salty again? It is good for nothing anymore, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men." (MATTHEW 5:13 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Nor do men light a lamp, and put it under the peck-measure, but on the lampstand; and it gives light to all who are in the house." THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Make friends quickly with your opponent at law while you are with him on the way, in order that your opponent may not deliver you to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Again, you have heard that the ancients were told, 'You SHALL NOT MAKE FALSE VOWS, BUT SHALL FULFILL YOUR VOWS TO THE LORD.' But I say to you, make no oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, or by Jeruselem, for it is THE CITY OF THE GREAT KING. Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. But let your statement be, 'Yes, yes' or 'No, no'; and anything beyond these is of evil" (MATTHEW 5:33 -37 NASV)

Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "You have heard that it was said 'You SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.' THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax-gatherers do the same? THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
On this day of rememberence of Jesus dying on the cross for us (Good Friday) I thought this verse was very appropriate even though I've posted it before. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. (JOHN 3:16 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
As I think of Jesus laying in the tomb today, this verse from Isaiah reminds me what He did for us and how thankful we should be. The verse says: All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God's paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on Him the sins of us all (ISAIAH 53:6 NLT) No matter how far away we have strayed, His arms were wide open on the cross to receive us back!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
JESUS IS RISEN! ...And the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen just as He said. Come, see the place where he was lying. (MATTHEW 28:5 - 6 NASV) Jesus said: "Go therefore and make desciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age." Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "And when you pray, you are not to be as the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners, in order to be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full." (MATTHEW 6:5 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Therefore do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need, before you ask Him. Pray then, in this way; 'Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.'" THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "And whenever you fast, do not put on a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they neglect their appearance in order to be seen fasting by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full." (MATTHEW 6:16 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face so that you may not be seen fasting by men, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you." (MATTHEW 6:17 - 18 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "The lamp of the body is the eye; if therefore your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light." (MATTHEW 6:22 - 23 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (meaning money, property, possessions...)." (MATTHEW 6:24 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 2, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "For this reason I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, as to what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, as to what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body than clothing?" (MATTHEW 6:25 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 3, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?" (MATTHEW 6:26 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 4, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "And which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to his life's span? And why are you anxious about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin." (MATTHEW 6:27 - 28 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 5, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "...yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory did not clothe himself like one of these. But if God so arrays the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more do for you, O men of little faith?" (MATTHEW 6:29 - 30 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 6, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Do not be anxious then, saying 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'With what shall we clothe ourselves?' For all these things the Gentiles eagerly seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things." (MATTHEW 6:31 - 32 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things will be added to you." (MATTHEW 6:33 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough troubles of its own." (MATTHEW 6:34 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 11, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Do not judge lest you be judged yourselves. For in the way you judge you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it shall be measured to you." (MATTHEW 7:1 - 2 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 12, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "...And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye.' and behold, the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to take the speck out of your brother's eye." (MATTHEW 7:3 - 5 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened." (MATTHEW 7:7 - 8 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 16, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Or what man is there among you, when his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he shall ask for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask him! Therefore whatever you want others to do for you, do so for them, for this is the Law and the Prophets." (MATTHEW 7:9 - 12 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 17, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they?." (MATTHEW 7:15 - 16 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 19, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Even so, every good tree bears good fruit; but the rotten tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will kow them by their fruits." (MATTHEW 7:17 - 20 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 20, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' And then I will declare to them 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS'." (MATTHEW 7:22 - 23 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 23, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Not every one who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord', will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven." (MATTHEW 7:21 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 21, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "Therefore every one who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon the rock. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and yet it did not fail, for it had been founded upon the rock." (MATTHEW 7:24 - 25 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 24, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount: "And every one who hears these words of Mine, and does not act upon them, will be like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and it fell, and great was its fall." (MATTHEW 7:26 - 27 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 25, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
The Bible tells us that if we have absolute faith that the Lord can do anything. This story is a great example! ...And when He haed come down from the mountain great multitudes followed Him. And behold a leper came to Him and bowed down to Him saying, "Lord, if You are willing, you can make me clean." And stretching out His hand He touched him, saying, "I am willing, be cleaned." And immediately his leprosy was cleaned. (MATTHEW 8: 1 - 3 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
As Christians, I know we get upset when we see prayer removed from schools, etc...but keep the faith! Jesus said "....And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; AND THE GATES OF HADES SHALL NOT OVERPOWER IT." (MATTHEW 8: 1 - 3 NASV)
| Taken from the Holy Bible May 27, 2006
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
"For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them ablaze." says the Lord of hosts. "so that it will leave them neither root nor branch." "But for you who fear My name the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall." (Malachi 4:1 - 2 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Here's a thought to ponder! When Jesus said this, he wasn't talking about PHYSICAL health. "It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are ill. But go and learn what this means. I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT SACRIFICE, for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners." (Matthew 9:12 - 13 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves. (2 Corinthians 4:7 NASV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS: I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery. You must not have any other god but me. (Exodus 20:2 - 3 NLT)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS: You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealoous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of parents upon their children; the entire family is affected-even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me. But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands. (Exodus 20:4 - 6 NLT)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS: You must not misuse the name of the of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse His name. (Exodus 20:7 NLT)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS: Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your livestock, and any foreigners living among you. For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day He rested. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy. (Exodus 20:8 - 11 NLT)

In thinking about the reuniting of my family, these verses really spoke to me: Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.... (Romans 12:10 - 11 ASV)
